Easter Sunday
What does Easter even mean? What’s all the fuss about? Christ is risen! Jesus is alive, and God has swallowed up death forever. With Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Salome, we may feel astonished and confused, unsure of what to make of the empty tomb. But this is why we gather: to proclaim, witness, praise, and affirm the liberating reality of Christ’s death and resurrection. In word and feast, we celebrate God’s unending love and depart to share this good news with all the world!

Easter Lilies
If you would like to place a lily at the altar in honor or in memory of a loved one, please use one of the special envelopes at the back of the church or contact Susan in the office (440) 277-6123 or by email at
Secretary@ChristLutheranLorain.Net. The cost is $20 per lily, and the deadline to be listed in the bulletin is March 17th.
Lenten Devotional Materials For Everyone!
Devotions and Booklets
To accompany you on your Lenten journey, there are a variety of materials available for the taking at church. There are devotion booklets for adults as well as activity booklets for children. Please help yourself to any of these materials on the Narthex table—and use them in a way that works for you to increase the ‘prayerfulness’ of your Lenten journey. Start your Lenten days with a faith focus, as these have themes for daily reflection and prayer.

Passing the Offering Plate
Remember back in the old days...circa 2020 BC (Before Covid!) Remember how we used to pass the offering plate during worship service every Sunday?! Well…..we forgot to re-start that practice! But we’re getting back to it! Starting on Easter Sunday, we will resume Passing the Plate, weekly. In the meantime, the offering plate remains at the rear of the sanctuary with the prayer list and bulletins!
