"The Dandelion Project Team Wrap Up"
Working with the church council and congregation, this is what the Dandelion Team has discerned for Christ Lutheran:
PURPOSE:
Through Christ, we welcome and serve all people.
PRINCIPLES: At our best we are:
Growing spiritually…. through prayer, worship, Bible study and fellowship.
Nurturing children and youth…through spiritual growth and service.
Giving generously… of time, talent, and treasure.
Serving the community…for hunger, clothing, shelter, and medical care.
Caring for the environment…where we live, work and worship.
Supporting the ministry and well being…of our members and friends in daily life.
Accepting all people unconditionally.
PRIORITIES: We are intentional about efforts to:
Provide meaningful experiences of God’s gracious presence through Word and Sacrament.
Foster an environment where children and youth can express their thoughts and needs and grow spiritually.
Identify, explore, and utilize the gifts, skills, and interests of members and friends to inspire generous giving of time, talent, and treasure.
Support our existing outreach ministries and look for additional opportunities to serve the local community and beyond.
Encourage responsible use of natural resources to protect and enhance God’s creation.
Invite people into a Christian fellowship that supports and sustains personal faith and ministries in daily life.

A Renewal Team of 4-6 people attend 8 gatherings over 2 years to discuss and discern for their congregation:
Missional Theology—What is God doing? And how does God call the church to be part of it?
Community—How does God lead us to engage with the community around us?
Encouragement—How does God equip us to care for and encourage one another
Discipleship—How does God invite us into faith formation, putting down deep, strong spiritual roots?
Evangelism—How can we better understand and share God’s good news?
Story Telling—How can we celebrate and extend the renewal God brings?
Values and Principles—How do we develop the “DNA” of God’s mission in everything we do?
Strategy—How do we teach and build around God’s mission?
