Bluegrass Music Night
Saturday, November 2nd
5:00 pm Food 6:00 pm Music
Lincoln Highway and
Ottawa County
We had a great Bluegrass night in October...let’s do it again, in November! Nell Hall books the bands— and we keep cookin’! Sharing the musical stage this month are Lincoln Highway and Ottawa County. $6.00 gets you in the door, and the food is priced low. Brenda Ondeka is the cook in November—but, of course, we still need help with baked goods, especially pies! Thanks so much to everyone who brings in desserts every month. Kitchen volunteers are always welcomed, too; and we can always use a couple of bucks for the lottery tree. It’s amazing how much the raffles help our cause...an upcoming kitchen remodel!
The December 7th Bluegrass Night is our annual Christmas Extravaganza! Tommy Hall and the Sunlighters and The Bear Pickens Band will be playing, there will be TONS of great raffle baskets, and other holiday surprises. Let Jackie know what kind of basket you’d like to provide! REMEMBER: All Bluegrass profits are being set aside for our kitchen remodel project!

GALS Meeting
Thursday, November 14th
6:00 p.m.
The GALS November meeting will be on Thursday, November 14th, and will begin at 6 p.m. with a light supper. On the business agenda: how they want to move forward with Bible Study… a specific book study or workbook? Any ideas will be discussed.
The GALS took on their annual Cabbage Roll Sale sale last month. The final sales tally was 97 DOZEN cabbage rolls! (Let me do the math for you...it comes out to 1,164 cabbage rolls!), for a profit of $1,450.00. That’s a lot of cabbage! The GALS thank everyone who showed up to help. Proceeds from the sale have gone to fund mission projects selected by the GALS, ie: Blessing House, food pantry, our building program, Adopt-a-School, and ELCA Good Gifts just to name a few! The GALS thank you for your purchases, and we thank the GALS for the cabbage rolls and financial support!
Next up: Drum roll, please:
Christmas nut rolls! Keep an eye out for order sheets!!
Starting in December, with their Christmas party, GALS meetings will be held on the first Thursday of the month. Mark your calendars NOW for Thursday, December 5 at 6 pm. The event will be held at Sorrento’s (5223 Detroit Road, Sheffield). RSVP to Tracy Dolezal (440-668-3956 or tdolezal1023@gmail.com) by Tuesday, November 25 so she can make the reservation. All ladies of the church are invited.
