Property

The grounds crew has been very active this summer, keeping our property looking beautiful on these warm, sunny days. Special thanks to Steve Hoyson who does most of the grass cutting and clean-up. We have a lovely property God has given us, and it is part of our stewardship to keep it well tended. Thanks to all who have helped in any way.

Believe  it or not, our parking lot is 3 years old—and ready for some shoring up. At the August Council meeting, we voted to enter a contract with County Line to fill in cracks, seal the asphalt and re-stripe the lot. The work was supposed to be done August 24th—28th.  If the work has been completed, we give thanks; if not completed, yet, please be patient.

Building Renovation Updates & Pictures

Now that the Food Pantry addition is done, what’s next on the list of projects? You might have noticed that the trees in the parking lot island have been felled. The lot is the next thing to be done. Weather has kept many construction companies playing catch-up, so we are still waiting for Griffith Paving to come and do the work. Since it will be extensive, we might have to make alternate plans for Sunday parking. We’ll keep everyone updated if that’s the case. The good news is that the new “Lounge” is getting a ‘make-over’ and the windows for Fellowship Hall have been ordered.

More good news is that we have collected the majority of the pledges to the Capital Campaign. As of August 1st, we have received $185,447.10 in the Building Fund...and we have spent $185,265.35.  We have more to do, so keep giving...and keep praying!
