California Wildfires

Have we already forgotten?  The California wildfires may not be front and center on news media, anymore; but the people of California are still hurting.  If you haven’t already done so, please consider a picture, card, or word of prayer for our assigned “sister” church:  Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Long Beach,

While financial gifts to support wildfire recovery are greatly appreciated and can be given through Lutheran Disaster Response, this effort allows us to share hope in a deeply personal and tangible way.

Together, let us remind our siblings in Christ that they are being held in prayer.  There is a basket next to our Sock-Ri-Fice basket for you to place cards, notes, and personal well-wishes for the members of our Saviour.  We will be sending these to Our Saviour in the coming weeks.  Lastly, please keep all of CA, especially Our Saviour, in your daily prayers.

God’s Love is Always Real
Have you heard the phrase, “May you live in interesting times”?  Many would say that we live in uncertain times, with a world experiencing war and famine, and the stress and lingering effects of the pandemic.  But remember:  as people of the resurrection, we also live in hope.  God’s love sustains us even in the most difficult times.  We live in interesting times because God’s love is always real.  -  Bishop Elizabeth Eaton
