Sunday, June 15th
Father’s Day
Father’s Day is not a liturgical church holiday, but we still want to recognize how important fathers are in the life of their families and in the life of the church. So on Sunday, June 15th, we give thanks for the men (in our congregation and in our community) who serve God as fathers and fatherly role models. We are blessed at Christ Lutheran Church with men who take their faith very seriously, and we know how vital faithful fathers are to their families and our church family. Our guys work very hard at Food Pantry, on property issues, with rentals, doing yard work, and in so many other ways. On June 15th, we offer thanks and prayers for all our fathers, here and in the Church Triumphant. Come to church and say a prayer for good ol’ Dad!

Potluck for Father’s Day
What a great way to celebrate our dads! June 15th is the third Sunday of the month, when we normally have our dessert and coffee hour. Since we’re celebrating dads, we’ll do a potluck! There will soon be a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the office.

Calling Any
High School Grads!
Are you graduating this year? We like to recognize, congratulate, and bless our high school graduates on a specially designated Sunday morning. As of now, we’re not aware of anyone graduating this year! Are we wrong?! (If we are, we’re so, so, so, sorry!) Please let me know if we’ve over-looked anyone! Send names to the office, via phone, email, or a note on the office desk, and we’ll consider you in our planning!

How about some “Dad Jokes”?!
How do you make holy water? You boil the hell out of it! Only a dad would laugh!
Why did the dad sit on the clock? He wanted to be on time for church!
Why did the dad take a pencil to church? To draw closer to God!
What kind of man was Boaz before he got married? Ruthless!
Why did the dad bring string to church? To tie up some loose ends.
How does Moses make his coffee? Hebrews it!
Why don’t dads trust stairs? Because they’re always up to something.
Why did the dad take a ladder to the sermon? To get a higher understanding.
Why did the dad bring his shoes to church? To walk the path of righteousness.
Why did the dad bring a mirror to church? To reflect on his faith.
